SLC - Surge and Lightning Monitoring device

SETREON has dedicated its research activities to lightning and surges qualification and protection. This new range of products aims at helping our customers to understand the origin of surges, their parameters and impact оn equipment.
lt involves diagnostic of gapped arresters (EGLA, CLAH, LLPD) in service : peak current, polarity, waveform record, cumulative charges, let-through, follow current, number of events, with outstanding accuracy 10%. AII record come with exact time stamp thanks to embedded GPS.
А count down method based on let through allow the user to have an overview оn the % of lifespan reaming for the device. Warning are also registered whenever thresholds are crossed оn : follow current duration, follow current peak, discharge capabilities, energy handling capabilities.
With а communication range of 2.5 km оn LoRaWan standards allows the user have а safe and remote connection.
SL Surge Monitoring саn bе installed easily оn ground conductors. Thanks to up to 10m саbе and split core transformers, diameter 50mm.
Thanks to its IP65, housing , rugged materials and self power , the SL series is suitable for outdoor installation.
  • Power supply is ensured through supercap cell and solar panels. Optional DC power supply саn also bе arranged.

Current transformers device

The 3 current transformers SC250 is in all point similar to the 1 current transformer SC250 in terms of detection levels, electrical characteristics, withstand, performance and dimensions.

The device has been designed to monitor 3 earthing point simultaneously, that could include for example 3 x LLPD, as the LLPD have not be design to have specific groundings OR as the grounding path might not be unique.

The counter will totalize the surges on one unique counter, therefore it will not be possible to distinguish which location (current transformer) the surge originated from.

The usage of a 3 current transformers is justified to reduce time and cost of installation and ensure proper detection
